they havent bankrupted the country yet...i think their goal is to do as much damage as possible so the next government have no chance...when the imf steps in and tells it to chop the public sector in half they will call time for an election...then someone needs to come in and undo all that labour has done in its time in power...

To be honest, if you had constructed a proper argument instead of something that i would expect to read on the letters page of the Daily Mail, you might have got more of a response.however, surprisingly, it was rejected by those luvvies at no 10.

Proof-reading and a general level of grammer might also have helped. What can you expect them to do? Do you think Gordon sits there and reads the email thinking "Oh Craig wants an election?, best get the voting slips sent out then!....."
It doesnt show that "Number 10 are unwilling to give the Public its right to free speech", it shows that you are a moron with too much time on his hands.
sorry moron is probably a bit harsh on a monday morning

but seriously do you think they came up with this idea to actually give the public a voice and an outlet for their concerns or is it not just a slick oiled PR machine to make you think you have a voice....

but clearly, you sir are a pedantic tosspot
who loves nothing less than trying to make himself look good by using any means possible to get one over on folk.anyway, the point was that, given the current level of public opinion on the goverment not listening to the electorate, this doesnt seem to be a good move if they keep on doing this.

Craig, i did apologise. i certainly dont want to put anyone down and i am really not that pedantic, its hardly surprising that they delete poorly written petitions though as they just come across like rants rahter than serious proposals.
the counterpoint is the Govt will call an election when they see fit not at the whim of the people because they want the best chance of winning. If they call an election because people want one, by virtue of the public denouncement, they know they will lose, surely you can appreciate that.
These e-petition things are just providing people with the impression that they have a voice. It keeps the people happy whilst the fact of the matter is that they do nothing but instill false hope.
