From a Doris in Ghana...

Apparently she had a dream in the night about my mobile telephone number, so figured she'd call me...

Ask her to dream about wednesdays lottery numbers tonight & report back tomorrow.

We'll split it, 95% me 5% you.

"thats funny love, I also had a dream last night about my mobile... I dreamed that someone would call me today and that I would have to travel to see that person where ever they were in the world and brutally kill them with an axe. I have to do this because the voices command me and in gods will it will save the world.

Whats your address?"

At first I thought it was a mate winding me up, but the +233 number stumped me so I looked it up (Ghana) and the Doris had the full on "I know your name" accent.

Now I'm sat here trying to imagine any possible scam this could be.

Strangest call I think I've ever had.

I'd phone your mobile provider just to check it wasn't one of those £100 per minute phone lines that you hear about scammers using sometimes. When you answer the phone you're automatically charged £100.

And that in itself is a rubbish myth. You cannot be charged £100 per minute for answering an incomming call, you can't be charged that much a minute for even making a call. The highest premium rate number available is £1.50per minute. And you have to call that number to be charged.
