Where should the hose that leads from the side (cooling duct) of the car above the battery be pointing. While messing about with the battery I noticed it's curled up and touching the belt on the side of the engine which can't be right.

Towards the engine I think.

One of mine points towards the alternator.

Mine goes top of battery, the other end is to the alternator pulley - always been that way.

Doesnt really matter as its well documented that no forced air passes through these when the clam is standard anyway.
