1 series Clutch Judder

Hi all,

I'd seen a post on here previously about this but unable to find it.

I bought a 118d (new) some 6 months ago and now not seen mine for over 3 months after I complained about the problem direct to BMW UK. Not sure how bad it gets but mine became quite dangerous on certain junctions

Good effort to them, they sent out a loan car (120d coupe), and since replaced that with another (120d convertable), so no real complaints there except I've noticed that both cars are showing the same problem at a similar mileage.

I now feel that this has been going on for too long, any idea's if a solution has been reached or have I just been forgotten about? My local dealership seem to be as just in the dark as I am.

Has anyone else been waiting for this period of time?

Is there a similar problem with the 3 series? May consider a change!

I think there was a mention in there of a new clutch design being fitted as a replacement, but perhaps not being authorised for fitment by BMW unless there's complete failure

I'm supprised how many people have the same problem, all be it in varying forms and even more supprised as to how long it is taking BMW to sort the problem out. Does anyone know if this problem occurs in the 3 series???
