Looks like a Japanese take on a 996/TT?

280+ bhp RWD.. interesting..

makes me laugh though that Nissan use the slogan "Boredom is the curse of the Ordinary" in their design section.... when you consider the Micra, Almera etc..

Will be interesting to see if it makes the showroom with these specs intact & (a price to compete with the TT).

Very cheekily they have stolen the design of the famous 911's roofline, just like audi with their TT bodied golf.

Engine will be a stormer once jap tuners get hold of it, sounds like a larger capacity skyline lump.

Bet the thing still only goes about 40 mph like everything else they build bar the skyline

I think this car is great. I love the looks and the simple interier. 3.5 litre engine only producing 280+ bhp - there's going to load of 350 versions flying around in Japan.
I'm definity going to see whether I can get an order on one of these - as I believe the projected proce was around 20K.....

I spent a long time yesterday looking at the gallery shots and can't get round the fact that whilst the car looks quite good from some angles, it looks highly incongruous from others.. the 'Front On' view doesn't work for me at all.. and I think the side profile is the roof of a 996, the front of a Lexus and the rear of an American coupe (or a Cougar)..

Even so, if it's anything like as cheap as 20K I think they'll have a winner on their hands.. I might even consider one myself..

I would be surprised if the price was less than £30K, probably more like £35K. The original Z was launched in America to compete with TR6 and Healey, in the UK it was priced to compete with the E Type.

My 260Z 2+2 was £6500 (including extra's rear bucket seats + belts and sunroof) in 1978 not that I'm that old my Dad bought it brand new.

I expressed an interest in the new 350Z ages ago and got some correspondence through the post and an email invitation to the launch of the car at my local dealer in New York this summer. I think its lost a little of its purity in translation from concept to real car, but it still looks like a mean coupe.
I never really liked the TT, and with no Tamora in the States for the next 18 months (IMHO), I quite fancy one. 280bhp and rear wheel drive sounds like my kind of fun.
With respect to price, there are going to be 2 versions of the car and I'm reliably informed that the top spec (leather, air, sat-nav etc.) will be about $37K (26K pounds) - so I wouldn't expect much change out of 30K pounds once it hits the shores of Blighty.
