Cheap Hotels near Spa

Hi guys,

A few of us are considering going to the Belgian Grand Prix this year - does anyone know of any good, cheap hotels within relatively easy reach of the circuit?

Not wishing to sound like a wker but you are very unlikely to find a) any hotels within the general area with a vacancy and even if you pass point a; b) a cheap one.

Have a look for something within, say, an hour's drive, try Hotels.com or Bookings.com to find out which are local(ish) and affordable, they'll also tell you of availability.

I used to live in a place called Aachen (hence my username) which is about just over an hour away as far as I remember from Spa. Its a nice city and borders on the Eiffel region (where Spa is) even though Aachen is in Germany. It has loads of hotels....

Cool, thanks guys - by relatively easy reach I did mean within an hour or two's drive. Much as a stroll to the circuit would be great, I'd rather save a load of money and spend an hour or two driving there.

Those Germans are crazy. It's like their wives never let them out except that one weekend per year when they all go mad. Much like the Poles...

I can recommend HOSTELLERIE LAFARQUE. Not cheap but very, very nice.

31 minutes? I've never timed it that accurately, but I'll take your word for it.

Camping is best at the GP. Great atmosphere, but truly shocking facilities...

Stop at the Nurburgring and drive accross its about 60 miles away, loads of cheap hotels near the ring and you can drive the ring the same weekend
