Tag Carrera - Strap swap

Hi,
I have been lurking here a while, and I have just bought myself a Tag Carrera, a bit crazy seeing as I work in the dreaded Inv Banking area, but hey ho! They had £600 off in Beaverbrooks! £500 off and it was the metal strap for leather strap too so another £100 off!

Anyway, I also got the leather strap and Beaverbrooks were great and said they would swap them over, but its not a local one to me, just to my folks. Then I thought... hang on... I can re do brake lines / dics / calipers / suspension on a 944 and I am suddenly crapping my pants about a strap change!!
ha ha
So.. can any one let me know what tool(s) I need, and whether it is advisable to (carefully) swap yourself with a suitable guide etc?
