Andy/Simon,
Was the car solely misbehaving because of the lack of oil? I know you called it a near miss but would it have done the car any harm long term running with low enough oil to make it cut out occasionly or is it different with a dry sump?
New car, DBS?
I asked Simon at Lambo Manchester this question and yes if it runs so short of oil the ECU cuts out the engine usually on corners to begin with to prevent oil starvation. It does use a lot of oil the LP. Its just having paint = £2000 + it now needs a clutch too. Hasnt done bad since over 500 people have driven that car Was the car solely misbehaving because of the lack of oil? Yes it is a DBS. I expected an armchair on wheels but that thing is blo*dy frightening. Far more lairy than the LP. It joins fast fleet next month. Just hope it doesnt fall apart!
