I opened my drivers door early this morning, had a Dr's appt...
The door opened ok, but wouldn't bloody shut!
It just banged against the lock...frozen presumably! Why do these things happen when you're in a hurry. rolleyes

Anyway after losing my temper with it & repeatedly swinging in shut (which didn't work) i sprayed some WD-40 into the lock and mechanism.

Sorted.

My car did do something odd though. As i twisted the key in the now 'lubed' drivers door lock, left & right... all 4 windows went down!!!
Filled the car with snow!

Not a good morning. grumpy

Key in hold to left, it will unlock and then lower windows, & vice versa.

Same thing with the remote fob button if you keep it depressed

Wifes MINI wouldn't as the rubber door seals had frozen together. Warm water freed them up

had the same problem on the coupe, the windows wouldnt drop so i couldnt close the doors till i freed them up. also made the classic mistake of brushing the wiper stalk with the door open and ended up with half the windscreen on the inside of my door and the footwell! doh!
