Does anyone know how much 1 meter cubed of concrete is with sand and shingle mix, at a 2:1:1, Sand:concrete:Shingle

I think it depends on the weight of the concrete sand & shingle you put in, so I don't suppose there will be a definitive answer. I would guess it would be the sum of the weight of each of those, plus the weight of the water (remember 1 litre weighs roughly 1kg)

lol, another calculation, so far we have had
2400kg
1800kg
2200kg
obviously there will be variations, but we are curious now, having to have to turn down a 100k job frownfrownfrownfrownfrown

It will vary depending upon aggregate size, amount of water and any other admixtures. Weight will be anywhere between 2200-2500, the british standard on temporary works suggests using 24kN/m3 for concrete.

Why is the weight so important?

No. 1 litre of water is supposed to weigh exactly 1kg. That is the basis of the SI unit of measurement.

Water density varies with temp so 1l water = 1kg only at a specific temp (? 4C).

because its to big, its 47.5 tonnes of material, which we cant store, cant get to the site without being a hgv driver.
Weeks work, and we have 3 big jobs all ready backed up we cant do, we just cant spare anyone to do it, and its to risky, for the job that wants doing, and how they want it done, its a bit, could work, or could go horribly wrong.

And of course with current economic climate, we would need about 50k upfront to even entertain it...47 tonnes of material, 1 week,3 guys we could sort of spare but not really. Without sounding to soft, I cant send 3 guys to shift 47 tonnes of material, and do rendering work on steps in a week, possibllity of serious injury occuring, which puts one of our guys out of work, and we cant afford that, more importantly its there safety

If you need 47tonnes of the stuff, why on earth would you use 25kg premix bags? That's more than 3 truckloads of readymix! Can you not use a pump to get readymixed onto the site?

ed to add. Just noticed you're rendering with it. At 5m height of wall and 25mm thick that would be a building perimeter of nearly 160m. Are you sure you haven't got a decimal place wrong somewhere?
