MG X80 Delayed
2003 launch for MG Coupe
Discussion
Does anybody else out there have a problem with a big V8 MG? I've owned many MGs, from As to Bs, and BGTs. I even worked in an MG T-Series shop when I was in college. To me, it seems as if the people at MGR have no idea what an MG is, in historical perspective. What they have put together, in this Mangusta-based car, is more like a Ford Mustang crossed with a Maserati touring car. It bears no heritage to the marque.
I hope the whole thing dies on the vine.

Where does a Heritage start, and what does it mean in the context of type? I don't remember a six cylinder Porsche before the 911, nor a V8 before the 928, nor a Turbo etc etc, but you have to move on otherwise all BMWs would be 700cc twins. I'll judge the MG when I can drive one, I won't be at all disapointed if it has nothing in common with a TD.
PS. I did enjoy most of the 100K or so miles I did in four different MGs, the best thing was that they were all different.
