Where does say how many posts you have made?

Go into your profile and it will tell you.
If you wish for them to be displayed on the threads, do to my preferences and tick the footnotes box go to bottom of page and press update. When you return to the forums the number of posts and membership longevity will be displayed.

Point to remember if you clean out you cache/temporary Internet folder you will have to reset and update your preference each time. OH

I have noticed they do disappear sometime too. You just need to go back in preferences and switch them back on, although usually they are still checked.

Sorry to rehash this old thread but I've noticed the same thing where the number of posts from each poster doesn't appear on my pc at home - running xp - on both Mozilla Firefox and IE. However my pc at work does display them (running NT / IE).

It's retrieved from a cookie rather from your profile (can't remember why I did it this way) and the cookie expires periodically.
