One trackday a year, decent ride comfort (showing my age), cost not an issue.
Which ones to go for?

Had Nitrons, prefer Gaz Golds on the road...... could also look at Racing Reds, they are high volume lower cost Nitrons!

I ran GAZ nickels on stock setup and they were leagues ahead of the stock "widow maker" crap, but now I'm running close to 500bhp even with heavier springs etc. they can't cope.
I was given this options list in ascending order of ability;

GAZ gold Pro
Racing Reds
Nitrons

then if you want to jump £4-500 in cost;

Nitron two way (bump & rebound adjustment)
Intrax
then Ohlins

I'm torn between Nitron two ways and Intrax at the moment, anyone have experience of these?

Don't want to take this thread off topic chaps, but I only picked the car up on Friday so need to run this engine in and get MA to do his magic as the mapping for this third engine cry is miles out.

I would go with 2 way Nitrons as long as you get them set up properly. More nobs to turn more chance of getting lost in damper adjustment :-),I don't know what experience you have with dampers Bluebottle so I don't mean to suggest you don't know what adjuster will have what effect! What do you use the car for??

Road and Track day tool...I tend to have it left set up for track use, just raise the ride height back up a little for road in the winter.

Oh, and it would probably be set up by Rich & Big Col @ Dulfords...I know I wouldn't be able to set these up properly on my own.

E.T.A. ngr just realised who you are and just had a look at your website smile...have you had any hands on experience with the Intrax kit?

Perfect for a road/track tool and 2 ways make it so much easier to set the car up for your driving style. Dulfords never heard of them I would head further north if it was me!! laugh Only joking good guys who do good work.

I have used intrax on race cars and they are also very good. The only point I would say is that Nitron are based near Witny which makes and adjustments or maintenance very easy. Intrax being built outside the Uk can have its issues. This is not saying you would have any but with the importance of customer service etc my feeling would be to go with what I know best and I know will be more than capable to do the job on hand.

Regards

Neil
