Seatbelt Jam.

Seatbelt jamming in T350. At minute its stuck mid way out and i can't get it to move either way?

Is there a simple fix or is it out with the screwdriver?

You may know this but... they can jam temporarily if one side of car is a fair bit higher than other side such as when sat at the side of heavily cambered road, due to the inertia reel mounting location.

Never knew that but i did move the car and try again but that never worked.

Need to sort it asap for MOT...

Hope i don't need to buy a seatbelt as there nearly £140!!!

is the seat belt a tvr made part or is it from another car?

It will be the same as used on a standard high-volume car, but don't know which I'm afraid. You could get one a lot cheaper quickly via courier from a breakers like this TVR specialist http://www.bellhillgarage.com

Alternatively, it's quite likely to free up with a tap or two from a normal hammer, while gently loosening/tightening the belt, you need to undo the trim panel around it first - just a few screws from memory - then spray some 3in1 spray or WD40 into it and leave for a few mins, then tap it

Thanks Tailslide. I just need to get it through MOT it would be really annoying if i didnt and had to have it retested for a seatbelt jamming. I'll give that a go over the weekend.

Mine used to jam in the Chimaera which I fixed by making sure it was straight and not on the piss its only a two minute job to straighten its got to be worth a try.

Yeah sure is might not cost £140 to fix if its just sideways!
