Been a while, so thought I`d watch the clip that sent me down the path of ruin.... enjoyed it so much I thought I`d share it.

I Really Really miss my car

Jez I know what you mean and no sooner does it come out of storage and have its MOT than it will be getting work done. Funnily enough I was in the market at same time as Big Nige for a new car. He got the Ro and I got the 350z. Loved the 350 but sold it as I quit work to become a student and wanted a more sensible car
2 weeks later I was bored so sold the Discovery and got a Ro

Cracking video Jez. Just watched it again, and I remember the first time it was on top gear, and it went straight to top of the list of cars I wanted (especially in the UK where they are even more rare!)http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=UeM1UWt2dvM&feat...

Jez
Always look on the bright side of life, my car has been at Monkfish about as long as yours, but at least your getting some nice shiny things put on yours.
All I’m getting is a new 5th /6th gear and some billet syncro keys.

I miss my car too
This is the video which made me want a monaro/GTS, I decided to get the GTS in the end cause of the 4 doors which is more practical for me but still love the look of the Monaros.

I know the facts are not quite right in the video but it always brings a smile to my face

The silver one at the beginning of that video clip is MY first monaro! WO04UPE
Reference the drag race in the initial clip, it's a pity they stopped filming at the 1/4 mile, because over the next 1/4 mile the difference between the two cars was quite startling. And the comparison of braking distance was well nigh astonishing.
Still, too close for comfort. We still have the black one, plus another 300 bhp (roughly). That's as far as it can really go; we nitroused the sister car but frightened the customer, us, and anyone within line of sight .... before removing it again.
The 'official' lap time for the Monaro was actually our car (the stock Monaro broke down) which rather flattered the numbers, and I thought was rather misleading as we estimated the stock car to be about six seconds slower! Makes you wonder what else goes on.
Top Gear wanted the full-on car back for the next series, but with due regard for the deserved popularity of the show, once was (expensive) enough.

I don't know what it is about these things that really get under you skin. I never felt like it about any car we've had before, and we've had a few nice cars.
