Police do not have any contact details....
They will see if an officer can come out and "ticket" the car...

I had this happen to me and was told it wasn't actually illegal and could only advise.

I advised them, that they should advise him, that if it didnt get moved he would be advised to get backup smile

yeah, its crap...i dont think it is illegal, unless its on private property or double yellows or such like...hence you see all these people with the fake "you will be clamped if you park here" type signs

...thats what id do Gooby - fix up fake sign, by clamp off ebay, charge them for it when they return

...or of course just bung the local scrotes a 4 pack and im sure they will wreck it FOC LOL wink

isnt it illegal to deny access to the highway? Its when you come home and your garage is blocked and you cant get into it that they cant do anything.

AFAIK the law is you have right of unobstructed exit from your property, i.e. if you are trying to get your car out of your garage onto a thorughfare to go about your business.
Apparently you don't have right of access onto your property from said thoroughfare if your point of access is blocked.

The car is now parked in the park down the road. Right in the boggy area. Silly place to park, I bet he will have difficulty getting that on the road in the morning.

Looks like the handbrake was on when it was moved. wavey

Police have just called - they will be out to ticket it in an hour. That is fine, I wonder if it will get a ticket for parking in the mud in the local park.

... Must wash the poonjero in the morning.

Reminds me of the car that regularly parked behind my (expensively bought!) parking outside my house in London. I 'forgot' it was there one morning. I never saw it again. Same happened once on my father's driveway in Suffolk. I didn't see the car parked across the drive.

£70 fine if you're blocked in:

Although quite how anyone can be so thick as not notice a garage or driveway I've no idea...

Call your local wheel clamping pikeys. They'll be round within 5 minutes provided you give them authorisation to clamp on your land tongue out Cut a deal where you get a share of the profits...

This used to happen with regular monotiny. I tried being nice and still it happened once or twice a week. Now I am a militant barstard. If the police do not get them to shift it then the car finds its way to the park. I dont wait, I am not nice about it. I have been blocked in at 6am trying to get to work too often.
It now happens every 3-4 months.

Near my girlfriend's house it's not ridiculous parking, but sometimes you might have to park 100m from her house. Anyway, there's one particular car that parks right across some woman's drive. I genuinely can't believe that he looks at that space and says "yes, I'll park there".

It's not even like he parks at midnight and is gone at 6am....this is over weekends and things.

I'd be getting a mate with a 4x4 and dragging it into the middle of the road or something similar. Utterly ridiculous.

Surprised the police did anything for you though - that's a result (ish).

Edited for accuracy.

You did what I would do though! Only problem for me would be that my other car is a fortwo and the park is half a mile away _ that would be some sight although I think I might void all warranties on the car.

I didnt do anything... that is as slanderous as "wonky stripes"!
Where on earth did you get the idea that I hooked up some persons car with a tow rope to the back of a poonjero, put the poonjero in 4wd + low ratio and drag some car 40 yards to the local park, drag it up the kerb and dig 4 furrows across the grass untill the thing was up to its axels, while the masses of torque from the poonjero was spraying it with mud. Then wait for the cops to turn up and give him a ticket.

I am a responsible father now and that kind of antic is far in my past.

As I said, "I have no idea how it got into the park, perhaps the driver was drunk..."

Getting some pikey to "stripe it" £10
Police parking ticket for bad highway code £60
Wheel clamp and release by local freelance group £75
Hooking it up to your 4x4 and towing it to the local park where it is semi-submerged. Fecking Priceless
