Anyone downloaded the beta version of this yet?

It's got some great new features like historical maps of an area where you can turn back a clock to view older scenery for the same area.

It also has underwater 3d terrain and a 'google mars' feature that works with the old GE flight sim.

This might be the one I heard of where you can tour Ancient Rome?

You could do that on the old version of google earth, I think it was just a download. Although there are a certain numbers of the best 3d buildings that people have made already in Google Earth, there are thousands of others that aren't.

Many of the US cities are now in full 3D if your computer is fast enough to cope with it.
