No, it was a technical error. Someone pressed a button at the wrong time. Pretty bad though, and only a half-arsed apology from the presenters. In fact, as I type, there seem to be further technical glitches on the channel (hung ident screen at the moment).

All in all, a pretty useless coverage.

ITV's attitude towards live sports coverage is shameful. As is their attitude towards feature films... split by the news FFS!!! You get in the zone and then BAM! "Die Hard 3 will continue after the news". As if the commercial breaks don't do enough to ruin the atmosphere.

I think that was Eons Man of the match (Jagielka)and itvs man of the match was lescott ?
Good game though shame about Gerrard and i liked the fact that torres was match fit at the start of the game but as soon as jagielka had him in the bag he wasnt feeling too well
And the news from ITV is crap too a freindly protest at total makes the pork and cheese workers fear for their safety ?

Now I know why Sky get the Job - Itv was always crap on coverage.

Possibly different ITV areas - we're down south and definately had a problem.

Very amused that they cut back to the post match interview half way through (after advert)and it looked like it was being held in sauna!

What a mess that was! However, as it crackled back to the match, the sense of elation was priceless! And all that matters is the Toffee's won!!!!!!!!!!!
