Its a shame but the right choice. There will always be another up and coming contender and Joe has nothing to prove.

+1

Just hope he's not tempted back at some point in the future only to lose to someone a lot younger who wouldn't have been fit to lace his boots when Joe was in his prime.

Thank god for sense! Thats the right decision. I don't think he'll come back, I'm sure his dad won't let him!!!

He should just sit back, enjoy the cash and the undefeated record, good on him!

Yeah, good on him, good decision. He's done it all and has nothing to prove. People had a dig at him for beating Jones and hopkins due to their age but forget he's 36 himself.

I think time will be kind to him, in a few years we'll forget the doubters comments and remember the boy from Blackwood who became the best in the world in argubly the toughest sport in the world.

Well done joe, I'll have one for you tonight.

Totally agreed. The guy has nothing to prove to anyone. Awesome.

I for one am gob-smacked He didn't choose to have at least one more big fight in Cardiff. One of the all time greats and will be missed in the ring. H will no doubt enjoy a career as a commentator.
