sky cards and their use in Spain

a pal has just been burgled in Spain, if i was to send him my card would it work or is it a no brainer?

It should do but the card needs to be paired to the box if he wants all the channels sport etc.

If he rings Sky just make sure he doesn't say he's in Spain! They won't know, unless he calls from an international landline or they call him back or something.
