Is anyone in the same position as me waiting for a refund from the XL crash last year. Mine was the flight only.
I have been dealing with Freedom Direct holidays who have submitted all the claims to the CAA and have said the money should be refunded during February
Any thoughts?

Did you pay on a credit card? Get a refund through them and let them chase it up. Thats what i did, had flights booked for January this year but had my refund last year.

Same boat as you mate. Whole holiday was booked through Freedom holidays and we were supposed to fly 3 days after they went bust. Took about 3 months to get accomodation and transfer money back off Freedom but still waiting on getting our flight money back.

Some people i have spoken to have said it could be anywhere between 6-10 months to get it all back

HiFirman
we had to pay for the flight again to keep the holiday and hope to see the XL money soon just not sure how to chase it up as there is just a recorded message at Freedom saying refunds should be sorted by Feb

We didn't re-book our flights as the prices they were coming up with were more than the whole holiday itself. I haven't spoken to anyone from Freedom or XL. Was it the CAA that said you would be getting it back in feb? We havent even chased it since we sent our claim forms back as we got sent a letter asking not to chase it as they were dealing with a huge amount of claims and it would be sorted as quickly as they could.

Hi Firman
We are in exactly the same position only we did take the holiday the new flights were £900 as apposed to £750 and the holiday was a bargain so no complaints would just like the refund to go towards the next one
