tweaking older digital images

I was moving some files around today and I stumbled across some old pics from New York taken with a 3MB olympus.

I've always liked thsi one of the rockefller centre so i thought I'd have a bit of a play with it and see if I could make it look a bit nicer.

after messing with levels and other stuff in a non structured and ham ficted style i came to the conclusion that i liked it more when it was straight out of the camera.. so i left it like that and stuck a border on it...

Looks fine to me. I started in digital much the same way, but my little Olympus had 3Mp, not 3Mb In fact I still have it, as the thought of 10Mp on the head of a pin frightens me, and 3Mp will print up to A4 and still look OK.
