Am strongly considering an Evo X as my next car, but the main worry is will it get pinched. I.e. from my house, while I am there. Is it a real risk?

P.s. Surrey village on the driveway (I have no garage) is where it will be parked.

Any car can be a target for thieves.

I have had a Skyline, Impreza,M3 and currently a 645ci parked in my drive. I never worry about someone wanting to steal my car at the end of the day it's insured.

I have never understood people that have this sort of attitude.

I could get knocked over crossing the road, I still cross it though. I could get mugged for my watch, I still wear it though.

Worry about keeping your license when you realise what a cracking point to point car you have bought.

Not about a car getting stolen.

Have you driven one yet, I owned one for a short time and DID NOT get on with it, when it came to selling it I could not give it away so having it stolen would have actually been a bonus.

I looked at an Evo X and was very impressed . . . but way out of my price band (the 2005 Impreza WRX with leather and PPP) at £8k I've just bought was seven times more than I'd ever paid for a car before as is!

So I'd get an Evo if I could . . . keep the keys upstairs and not worry - home invasions are FANTASTICALLY rare . . .

Hi,
I had an Evo4 years ago. Really great car & enjoyed it immensely.
I have never had a car that attracted so much of the wrong attention though.
Sorry to say it was pinched when 10ft from local pub car park as everyone was coming & going. It did put me of owning another & I now have a 911 & skyline but neither attact as much attention as the Evo. Perhaps things have calmed down now as there are more about?
This is only my experience so others will be different I'm sure.
It was a great car though, mmnn perhaps........

Evo Xs come with a Cobra VTS as std (uk model) So they have become a bit less of a Thieves Target. I've just sold a 300 GSR SST Fantastic Car for the Money just a bit Thirsty
