Ive got myself a Rolex GMT 11c...

A quite interesting Tag 2000 Bi-colour...

I now have an Omega.

I have just sold my Tag Carrera as I find I am wearing it less and less. However, I have always wanted an Omega to go with the Tag and Rolex.

The final question is... how much do you think this one was worth? What would YOU pay for it if you were offered it?

+1, although you can have them for less if you happen to be in the right place at the right time.

AB,

I've had my Seamaster (model no. 2541.80.00) since March 1997. It looks identical to yours. Since bought it has been my near daily wearer (I have a Porsche Design PO11 that I wear some days), and has been everywhere with me. It has never failed. I have it serviced about every 5 years.

One mystery I have had with my Seamaster has now been solved, I think, by BigAlin's comments above. Every time I see this watch in pictures and shop windows I have noticed it has some red script on the face and a red tip on the sweep second hand, whereas mine has no red anywhere, like yours. I had come to the conclusion no red means quartz not automatic and BigAlin's comment seems to confirm this is so. In fact, when I bought this watch it had only been available on the UK market for a few months and those colleagues who had bought one all went for the automatic and they all had problems that needed attention, and so reluctantly at the time I went for the quartz. Now I don't regret it as it has been such a great time keeper and never failed at all.

Enjoy!

R.

One of the reasons I went for the PO over the regular Seamaster 300M was that it has the co-axial movement, which is supposed to greatly extend the service interval. Omega originally said 10 years, but quickly wound that back to about 7.
