My car hasn't turned a wheel for over a month now (yes, shameful I know).

Is there anything I can do to get the engine oil flowing (remove a fuse/relay or something) before I start it up, or an I just being a bit paranoid ?

cheers

Mike

Fuse number 17 (25A) powers the coils - removing that should allow you to turn the engine over without it firing.

Just been out in mine after almost as long lay up!

Just started it up! Did let it warm up to just over 50DegC and then drove it.

Went for a spin after warming it up gently!

10 miles warm up and then use the revs!

smile Must get out a bit more!

Might also be a good idea to remove the fuel pump fuse as well, number 22 I think (but check to be sure)

many thanks for the responses; better get the manual out and have a play with the fuses.

All of the fuse locations are in the owners' handbook. I think that the fuel pumpo one is shared with the immobiliser though - haven't got my manual here with me to check but can do this evening if you need me to.

On mine it wasn't, always used that method to turn it over but not start - certainly worth checking the fuse number as TVR did change things about a bit smile
