biggrin

I'm glad Gavin got it. Firstly I can follow the car on Pistonheads & secondly the Cerby forum has gained another person with some technical knowledge, unlike yours truly paperbag

He's used to TVR's & has a rather nice RS6 to boot smile

I think Purple Illusion is a great colour for A Cerb & I'm for ever getting people asking me about it.

Mechanically the car's brilliant, doesn't use oil, feels tight & is a great daily driver. Like Laurence before me, I've not skimped on looking after it & keeping everything working, and that's another reason I'm pleased that Gavin's it's new owner smile

fk me just found the listing, that's a righteous steal and hope you gave Russ a little reacharound as a thankyou hehe Congrats on the purchase, you've done the double of getting an ebay bargain yet buying a known car off a known Ph'er, and one who we know throws money at his cars whenever needed so a cracking buy. Top bombing thumbup

Russ what's the plan with blue, a keeper now?

No, that's going as well TC. It's at Power at the moment getting the flooded ECU sorted, then finish off running the engine in with a trip to Ewelme to get a scratch sorted. Hopefully I can get to see Purple again as there's some decent pub grub in Ewelme Gavin smile

I'm sort of...without house.... at the moment smile So the toys need to go, to get my deposit up a bit higher.

Once I've got a roof over my head, I can start looking at cars again smile

Can't speak highly enough of Russell, great guy and yes love the car to bits, stunning colour too. See you anytime in HW Russell, lunch is on me.

It's already clean but there'll be some polish and wax and leather cleaner applied, and oh yes the important bit....... lots of driving driving

Looking forward to Chatsworth toothumbup

Just have to sell the Chim now.... spose I could always keep it, just as back up!

Anyhow, will be doing some newbie archive searching on issues and asking one or two questions as necessary. Roll on the weekend when I can pick her up, my very own valentine's presentyes

I know exactly how you feel, I've just bought a 4.2 today, pick it up on Saturday.

Excitement, trepidation, and head full of the words "beautiful" and "moneypit".

Am also thinking of going to Chatsworth, so will look out for you there!

Remember you RV8ers, revs are good... very good. evil

As a little party trick, if you ever find yourself on a private test track - put it in fifth at 70. Floor it, at 90 its cleared its throat a bit and starts to accellerate at a fair rate, then, at 130ish, it comes on song and starts accellerating harder. evil

Mighty cars these, look after them! smile

Nice one Gav, looks a top motor that. Had a ride in a 4.5 LW once, thought I'd travelled through time. wobble Fantastic. Hold on to the Chim & sell it to pay for the LS conversion. wink
