Just looking at Stallones movie history after deciding to watch Rocky IV earlier. Came across "The Extendables" Not due till next year but have a look at the cast http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1320253/

The plot- A team of mercenaries head to South America on a mission to overthrow a dictator.

Sounds a bit like Rambo. Looking forward to this already.

And Rocky VII? wink To be fair the plot sounds exactly like what Rambo 5 would/could be.

Just checked the cast again for the expendables and Arnie's now in. Rumour is that it's just a cameo as himself but it's better than nothing. http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/filmblog/2009/feb/1...

Who next? Jean Claude Van Damme?

Really can't wait for this movie now.

Is it just me, or does this film sound really exciting?

As a young male, I loved the Kickboxer and Predator type films, double hard bds fighting anything and everything for not a lot of reason.

We're talking Stallone, Statham, Rourke, Lundgren, Willis, Schwarzanegger etc...

Fingers crossed for an epic action movie.

I was reading that his initial cast was the the likes of Arnie, Willis, Van-Damme etc.

Arnie's making a cameo, so is Willis. All three have planned to be in the same scene together.

Van Damme originally said yes to Sly but then backed out saying after JVD he's taking his career in a different direction. rolleyes

The current cast looks just as good. An nobody mention the story, no body cares, as long as it contains lots of one-liners, explosions and fights then its OK in my book thumbup

Roll on Rambo 5 (which his next planned movie) hehe

On one of the recent episodes of Custom My Ride Sly got West Coast Customs to make him three identical pickups for the film with special gun holders for him and Jet Li to use.
