Need a pair of "smart" combat trousers
Discussion
I need a few extra pockets on me when I'm out during the day with clients but don't want the hassle of carrying a bag.
Can anyone recommend a store or brand of combat trousers that look half-decent and not make me look like I'm about to go into war somewhere.
Cost is not an issue but has to look good

If your in anything other than a building industry then you will look like a scruff at best, if your in some kind of technical/IT industry you will look like that most awful of American inventions the "Action Nerd".
Only builders can get away with such things tbh. Anyone else would lose masses of respect on turning up in such things.

Sweet baby Jesus, there is no such thing as smart combats, don't even fool yourself into thinking you will ever look smart wearing them.
...and even if there were, they'd look crap with the pockets full of the tat you're wanting to carry around. Now stop hiding behind a veneer of macho clothes, be comfortable about your sexuality and get a man bag you homo.Simond001 said:

and are not smart.Good quality chinos with a razor crease are the minimum requirement to look smart. Worn with polo shirt (co. logo acceptable, collar up isnt), and brown loafers (no tassles!)

I've always wondered if that's just a fashion/marketing thing to hide the link to military clothing/violence and gain wider acceptance as a fashion (hence such trousers are sold in Hennes and Top Shop (I expect!). Combat trousers is cargo trousers is combat trousers, irrespective of colouring. I mean, what if you're SWAT or SAS? It's still combat trousers even though they're black. Exactly the same design.I mean...
Soldier A: This is an urban night mission, so you know the score: night vision goggles, MP5s, black smock, black combats, lads.
Soldier B: I think you'll find they're cargo trousers. Combats are so last season, darling.
