What exhaust do people recommend I purchase for my E46 M3. I don't want cheap rubbish on my car and am not looking for a Boy Racer sound. I want something TUV approved and made by a reputal tuner. Who's had what system and what do you guys recommend? Any thoughts appreciated.....

Thanks

Prospeed in Cardiff will sell you 100 cell cats at a great price or will make a full system at a very reasonable cost. you specify sound levels if you choose exhaust. The cats are great though and make a difference.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I've actually ordered my new exhaust now! I went with Superlative Autosport, they are the home of Racing Dynamics UK. I've ordered the RD X-Pipe and Backbox. I was gonna go for the complete system and get the manifold and metal cats but I can't really afford it at the moment. I can't wait to get my exhaust RD stuff has an excellent reputation. They gave me a very reasonable price on the exhaust so i'm happy!

Yeah I was a bit worried about that but i'm not planning on removing the exhaust when I sell the car so shouldn't really matter

Thats crazy they you can specify the sound level you want for a custom exhaust! How much do their systems run for?

Not sure about prices for an M3, but apparently a full Impreza system is around £700 inc. VAT. Seem to have a good reputation amongst the Scoobynet guys.

Cheers,

Propspeed will do you a full system including 100 cell cats for between £700-£800 inc fitting and vat. Being a bit vague because the cost I know is for a Z3M Coupe/Roadster, but wouldn't be far off for the M3 I am sure.

I was going to suggest a Supersprint. I have heard most and the SS is by far the best (IMO). Quiet low down then a real rasp high up. A lot of them sound boomy, loud and annoying.

The Milltek ones sound nice on Youtube, but can't recommend from personal experience.

Just looking at this Supersprint cats business...

Whats involved in this?

The first site I looked at was quoting about £1,150 - sound about right?

Any ideas of installation costs?

How does this affect the BMW Official warranty?

Cheers

Hi Alex as someone who has seen my m3 you are fully aware of the amount of mods carried out to the car ! It has been to 2 different bmw dealerships for warranty work while being in the modified state and not once caused any problems !

As for costs to fit is only really a couple of hours work to fit whole system !
