Hi All,

I've had problems a couple of times starting my s2. Was due to go on the south coast run on Sunday so naturally it picked that day to muck about!

It started normally and then wouldn't rev, held it for awhile on the throttle but then it died and wouldn't start again as was flooded. Tried removing plugs a couple of times to dry them but still no joy so eventually gave up and scrounged a lift to the event.

The previous day to make sure everything was going to be alright i had made a very short run to get petrol and pump up the tryes. Does it seem likely that not warming the car up fully and returning home when it was still probably on choke had probably fouled the plugs and helped the situation?

Any thoughts or other reasons for potential flooding would be appreciated

Cheers

Stuart

It may be worth checking the Throttle Pot, this seems to be a source of pain and unplugging it can sometimes highlight its fault as the car goes into limp mode but will run. just a thought before you get too involved.
