It's very good for filling people's email inboxes with random sh*t about how a friend of yours took the "Identify the poo quiz" and scored 17%.

It reminds me of how much better I am than the people I went to school with.

Sometimes.

Rarely.

Never.

They provide someone for attention seekers to claim "soooo drunk at the wkend, lol"

"xxx is regreting those sambukers lol11"

Etc.

Without that, we'd assume they can handle grown up things, like alcohol.

Just get the "are you interested" application, click yes on everyone (within reason!) and flirt with everyone!

Depends if you use it as another tool (along with address books, phone numbers, etc) for keeping in touch with people or think it's the be all and end all of socialising.

Must confess to having more than my fair share of pics uploaded.

I use it to amuse myself with idiotic, fake profiles. Nobody else finds them funny but then nobody is paying me to amuse them so sod the lot of them. biggrin

It's good for photos.

I just hate the constant status updating that people seem to do.

I hate the "I've just had a sandwich" updates.....and being tagged in photos (you know - the one where you look like a plonker but everyone else looks like feckin models). Spend most of my time untagging myself wink
It is good for photo sharing, but picasa can do that so....not sure what it's good for at all really!

Good for keeping up with uni' mates who are scattered across the country and around the world.

At the moment it's good to see my best mate from uni' and his fiances' trip accross OZ after they had some dad times and decided they needed to get away.

Also we see if we are at the same track days/events to catch-up. Nothing more than that really.

Yeah, OTT updates are pointless.

I believe their primary aim is to build up a strong profile of their members and their friends and family, personal preferences, affiliations and tastes and then make a huge profit by selling this info on to third parties to spam you with.

The secondary use of course, is grooming.

biggrin
