Year 17, what to put on our shirts??

Last few years have been:

Steve McQueen on motorbike from Great escape-our heads in place of his
Steve McQueen flicking v's from Le Mans-our heads, with his hair.
Lord Kitchener, you get the idea from the above.

Was thinking of going Wacky Races this year as my toher half is coming down for the first time.

Any ideas??

Could do something with the steve mcqueen finger at the audi diesels, and a picture of the aston saying "petrol - back to the old days of winning ways!" something like that anyway?!?! haha

Hmm, 17 years.....maybe "Le Mans sweet 17"? Sort of like Le Mans Virgin for new goers.

PS, I've been to Le Mans almost every year from 1996, so 2009 is my 13th.

Or you could go for something that won't have everyone pointing at you and laughing come 5PM Sunday...assuming it makes it that far.

with "Heaven 17" underneath

might work.

Oh I dont know... at the end of the 1996 race, I still had on my Marcos T-shirt whih (I think) went out after a few hours.

There is something about cheering on an underdog to the end- and the Lola-Aston IS still an underdog.

Or, has there ever been a winning car number 17? Have that on the back. Subtle...

Yes - Porsche 926 C #17 came 2st in '87, driven by Al Holbert, Hans Stuck and Derek Bell

Also worth consideration:
Jaguar XK120 C #17 came 2nd in '53, driven by messer Walker and Moss
Ferrari 250 GTO #17 came 6th in ', driven by Bob Grossman and Gelen "Fireball" Roberts (not a great finish, but a great name!).

Or just find some old 80's Heaven 17 pop tee-shirts and add some Le Mans transfers to it :-)

Here's a suggestion:

How's about T shirts simply saying, for example, "Primark XXXL 100% cotton wash at 40 deg.C", and, here's the clever bit, having it written only on a little label - on the inside.
