Hooray! woohoo I might be able to get out of Colton more easily at rush hour, there was a massive increase in traffic a couple of years ago when Pontefract lane was closed.

So where does it actually run to then from J45?

Is there anything on the East side of the motorway?

right to York Road, outside the "Cremlin", or if you go East, to the Tip in Cross Green, but no further.

Had to go to Bramley today so checked it out - its great! much quicker route.

And also, (this is such a typical PH to note) fantastically smooth clean tarmac with lovely cambered roundabouts - also it was completely empty at 4 this afternoon...

Had a nosey myself - huge wide long stretch of dual carriageway straight off the motorway
...................40mph limit eek

Wait for the speed cameras

I wont say that I managed 11 mins from J45 to the centre this morning..

Only saw 2 tipper wagons trundling along.

Is going to really help getting into the Leeds Office, plus we have 3 other people who will use it.

40mph ?

There will be even more accidents now, through people falling asleep at the wheel. rolleyes

Could be worse though....

One day I will join a flow of traffic on a single carriageway A-road that is actually UP to the speed limit.....aaaaaaah ! mad

I could still get from York to Hull quicker 30 years ago in a Moggy thou' or a Mini. irked

Is this the one that has been closed off since pretty much the M1 was built?

Yes,

I remeber Macfarlanes moving their due to the location being so close to the Motorway.... oh, how wrong were they.

On the subject of closed roads, anyone know when the second lane of the A639 as it passes Arla foods (dangerous landslip my @rse) will be sorted? It's a ball ache that one, and been dragging on for what seems like years.
