PH alter ego

Would you say that your PH persona is succinct to your real personality, or do you feel you are a different person while online?

I can imagine that shy, shrinking violets would relish the chance to express their real views on the world without actually needing to look anybody in the eye. Or an opinionated, self obsessed (GTIR ) cretin would shrink back into the dark and just watch, and take note!

I would say that in general the people I have met have matched their PH persona, but I have not met every PH....

So be honest, are you really like your PH persona? or

I would say most of the Phers I have met have been pretty close to their online persona. The majority, in fact, have been more interesting and complex and even 'nicer' in real life. This can be a somewhat one-dimensional medium.

Funny you should say that, but I think I'm much the same. I think it stems from the fact I'm rubbish at typing and so by the time I've typed out some unpleasant retort, I've had time to think better of it and change my mind and cancel, wheras in real life I react too quickly and tell people what i think.

I love to jump into a hot debate in the real world but rarely do on PH.
