Just my luck to be sitting within ear shot of the student who has finished University, and knows exactly how the world revolves and is talking loudly and clearly to another passenger.

And its a 9 hour flight. AARrrggghhhh.

Tell him to shut the f*ck up and come back to you once he's spent 6 months in the real world and learnt that he knows sweet FA about anything remotely important.

Offer to put a cigarette out in his eye. Sure, you'll get chucked off the plane, but then you can tell the customs official that a flight attendant touched your front bottom and you weren't thinking straight.

Last time I flew there was a loud Frenchman in front of me blaming BA for a blizzard and his sleeping son used me a leg rest for the whole trip while his mother played on her iPhone.
I've got a nine hour flight tomorrow - can't wait.

Stab the student in the eyes.

Universal law. On any given public transport conveyance, there is at least one loud bullst talker. Always.

March over to the seat.

You: "You know, you really should be on TV."

Smart-arse: "Why?"

You: "Then we could switch you off."

Never fails.

I can't help thinking to myself that payback is a bh!

Yesterday you were in conversation with a number of other PHers on the merits of torture, and now you have to endure 9 hours in a small space with someone constantly talking loudly!

Be strong, don't tell him anything!!!!!

Just tell him that he may think he knows it all, but right now he knows the sum total of feck all. After a few months of an actual job in the actual real world, he MAY start to learn, but right now he's not much above amoeba.
