Without trying to sound like a spoil sport... A Word of warning...
I bought my T350 last year, it's decated with a JP. I loved the noise when i bought it, the pops and bangs on the overun are fantastic. After a few 30 minute drives in the first week my ears were ringing constantly after a run like i'd been at a rave all night.
I bought some ear plugs and now have to wear them all the time otherwise it takes my ears over a week to recover. I was at BNG last year and it was sound tested at 135db - The loudest there on the day. I've since found out that anything over 85db can cause permanent damage. 130db is equivelent to a jet engine at 30m. Sounds cool but the novelty soon wears off.
I'm now getting pissed off (as is the wife) at having to wear plugs all the time. At the risk of being called a massive gay i'm now seriously considering putting a standard exhaust on or some better silencers.
In fact if anyone has done the same (gone quieter) i would be interested to know the results???

Seemingly though, most are looking for increased aural pleasure - I'm looking forward to getting back to the UK where I should have some of NTEL's decat pipes waiting for me

Just read RubyRed's post. I've had a similar experience - the tam came with a JP back box when I bought her back at the beginning of last year. It sounded great - put out a delicious note when at idle, made some serious noise with firm application of the right foot and the pops and bangs on the overrun were fantastic.
After about 6 months, however, I too became really frustrated (and concerned) with the constant ringing in my ears after a +30 minute drive. I resorted to ear plugs but missed being able to crank-up Pearl Jam while doing my sunday morning drive through various b roads outside of London.... So, I took the plunge and picked-up a used standard back box and made the switch.
At the risk of sounding like an old man, I must say that long drives (esp with the roof off) are much, much more pleasant now. I do miss the sensational note of the old exhaust and the pops and bangs, but I certainly don't miss the headaches and the ringing in my ears!

Is it a full JP or just the back box? Be happy to swap my frustratingly quiet back box with you if you really want to get rid...
