British Airways 'Empower' Question.

I'm taking my laptop with me on a BA flight to Orlando. I intend to use it on board. I haven't done this before.

BA Club World is fitted with something called 'empower' that connects to a laptop to keep it charged. I understand that the crew either provides or sells empower adaptors to connect the power outlets on the 'plane to my laptop.

My question is, do I need to bring my power cord with me in my bag including the transformer 'brick' and the empower thing goes into that, or does the empower doobrie attach straight into my laptop?

As different laptops have different connectors I am guessing they will just have a kettle lead to plug into

I heard that BA charge £60+ for the Empower adaptor, and they are a lot cheaper online..

You can even buy an all-in-one adaptor e.g. iGo which lets you connect lots of devices iPod, laptops, phones) to different power sockets (including Empower). May be worth investigating!
