T5 gearbox

Wish to buy a car with a 'notchy 5th gear', 500 Chim...

How much would it be to have it taken out and reconditioned? Is it an engine out job?

gearbox can be removed with engine left in place, spares a readily available for the t5.

Removal is from underneath .. and takes about 3 hrs..
re-installation also 3 hrs.

Don't forget to check the clutch too .. while you are there.

T5 rebuild is around £300 or so.
