BUTOCs to the BOLOCs!

well, having seen my alfa 166 fall apart around me, i've decided that i need to go one step further in my quest for automotive stupidity...
so... my hand was really forced towards my latest 'toy'
a 1996 TVR Chimera 400 (feeling a bit too poor to own the grown-up 500 variant).
picked it up this morning... drove the 160 miles home without breaking down once... it passed it's MOT with flying colours and goes like stink (it also sounds like something that makes a stink)... only a couple of minor electrical gremlins to sort out (such as the speedo that reads 120mph at 65mph).
so... for this summer's burger runs, there will be a new sub-category to the BOLOCs fraternity... the 'Butt-ugly TVR owners Club' (BUTOCs).
i should hopefully be able to surpass all of you in the exhaust stakes (the current setup is not 'quite' standard), but it will sound like a lexus in comparison with Kurt's toy (if it ever works).

it's in silver... might be doing le mans, but only if mrs.g joins me (got to remember to spend some time with her this year! lol)... and as for driving it... i would be honoured if you were take it for a good ragging! (the chim, not the wife)

The Mini is cool, handles well, is quite rapid ( and if I can convince Sarah to spend £700 it`ll have 210BHP soon!), but yes is a little ghey!
And next...... well if we can sort the money out, later this year we`ll be back in a Lotus! Fingers crossed!

when my rear tyres are at the end of their life, i'll have to get you over to finish them off... this chim swings it's butt around like a pendulum on a grandfather clock... oversteer city! (just needs another 100hp though.. a chim 500 would be perfect)
