I'm sorry, but I don't believe that story.

How could there only have been two women involved ? Theres nearly always 3-4 hanging around at the tea point having a conversation like that.

A guy who sits opposite me is on the phone to his partner (female).
At least 4-5 x a day checking up on her / their baby.
He also pay's all his bills / mortgage woe's / car problems all over the phone!
He did the same when he was buying his house!
He only works 4 days a week so why he can't do it on a friday when he's at home i'll never know!

Conversations like that just annoy me, as do the conversations in our office between the 34yr old virginal star trek/wars/sci fi fan and his best work mate, the balding overweight mysoginist, who spend the day shouting BBC comedy and scifi catchphrases at each other.

Thank god for headphones.

Marf, you don't work in IT do you? They sound like IT geeks to me!

No fun and excitement here apart from our engineer has decided to blame the factory in Germany for breakages on a tool he developed using some off the shelf parts. The bits that break are made by the factory but when used for their original purpose they're absolutely fine. So basically its his tool thats the problem. And for some reason he can't see this.

There's others but I'll be here all day and I've got work to do...

Not strictly a work conversation but I had it while at work so maybe it counts.

I called a certain nautically themed insurance company and asked them what their cancellation charges where. The lady asked me if I was already insured by them and I said no. She then told me there was no way she could tell me what my insurance cancellation charges were as my policy was not with them!

Thank god for masturbating whilst wearing headphones.
You want to be careful doing that, could land you in trouble.

I dont get it.
Its like me saying "I called an insurance company and asked them how much to insure my car. They said £386. I said thank you."

Nope but the virginal scifi fan spends most of his evenings playing star was battlefront, I have no doubt that he does his best emporer impressions whilst playing the game and furiously tossing himself off at the very idea of killing the Jedi(who he hates).

He also has a speaking Darth Vader mug and a light saber torch on his desk which he repeatedly, and "accidentally", sets off at random intervals during the day.
