Is there anything in particular I should be looking out for please? I understand there were two gearbox variants at the time - an auto and a tiptronic?? Or have I got that wrong?

I thought they were all Tip.

You need to buy a 500, the 350 in an SL feels a bit weedy.

500 also comes with Comand etc as standard.
