Have a break from the doom and gloom.

Reading it at the moment brings back some great memories of my childhood, a genuinely endearing book. If you grew up watching Blue Peter have a read of it and put a smile on your face smile

NOOOOO!

Having said that I have no idea what the programme is like now, I'm from the John Noakes era.

If it's anything like the brief minute of Newsround I saw recently then it's deeply patronising eco-biased rubbish feeding lies to children, creating a race of obnoxious 9 year olds like the brat in the advert who keeps asking her father if the food he is using for dinner is ethical and telling him he can compost leaves.

Problem with BP is that successive producers have wanted to 'leave their mark' with change for changes sake. Not always for the best, and then move on to something more 'gritty', leaving the dung trail behind.

Also been used to peddle the Green agenda rather than giving kids something they don't get somewhere else.

If it's anything like that then I'll have to agree with the article, Kill it, Kill it NOW shoot
