Bulkhead drain?
Discussion
Am I right in thinking that rain water runs into the bulkhead area through the perforated grill by the windscreen wipers? Where does it drain out?
I've notice a small pool of clear water on the ground, I can see it has dripped off the gearbox and then onto and off of the exhaust. I'm hoping that it's only rain water from the bulkhead, though it may have collected on top of the engine, and that it's nothing more serious.
I noticed it after the car had been in the rain, when I was jacking up the front in the garage, which is why I think it may just be trapped water escaping.
Thanks.

Taste it, the fuel pipe runs there and they are all about rotten at this age if they've not been replaced!
In fact, it's worth doing anyway if you're in the area and aren't certain that it's been done. Visual inspection is impossible.
Thanks for the suggestion. It's definitely not fuel. But replacing the rubber fuel pipes is on my list of things to be done while I have the exhaust, gearbox, etc off.In fact, it's worth doing anyway if you're in the area and aren't certain that it's been done. Visual inspection is impossible.
