Let me be the first to say thanks for posting that link. There can be a little shortage of manners on here these days wink
Great video and a good tv show to. Although there was a person from that TV show that pissed alot of Ferrari owners on Fchat. Its a long story so you will have to read the thread.
But thanks again smile

Is Jason Dawe really tall? He looked a bit awkward in it...

Surprised that he didn't mention that the wheels were non standard and was that a non-standard exhaust?

Great sound whatever it is.

Cheers fella!!

I saw that thread on FChat ;-)

I also picked up on a few discrepancies in the video.

He made reference to looking for a service stamp every 6 months, when it should be annual (assuming you aren't hitting the mileage limit within 6 months).

Also, I don't think he means "re-connolising" every year - more like treating the leather regularly/annually.

When he talks about the wheels being curbed, he should have also mentioned that the standards are magnesium and need special treatment if damaged.

Co-incidentally, I met him in real life before purchasing my car and he was just as complimentary about them (also suggested that a Porsche 993 turbo would also be a good alternative).

I think you should eb able to identify the exhaust by the tips (I am no expert). It does sound like my capristo though.

<3 That sound!

Not fair that they haven't mentioned that it's an aftermarket system though...

Is it true about the pulling off in 2nd thing? Surely if you'd warmed it up properly it wouldn't be a problem?

Beautiful car - great engine bay too!

I owe all my supercar ownership to spin in a mate's brother's 355 F1! smile

I didn't know they would do them without power steering!

That TOTALLY changes my personal view on whether I'd want one at some point! biggrin

Fuel is certainly not a high point, but its worth it.
I get about 16 mpg combined motorway and town, but it drinks the stuff around town, seriously.

I think the awkward second gear when cold thing was fixed in the 348. I have never had an issue shifting even from stone cold. Certainly true in the older cars though.

If I was being totally non partisan I would have to admit the gear change from first to second is decidely notchy when cold. After about ten minutes it warms through with no problems.

I average about 18mpg on a typical Sunday run but this drops to 6 on a track day....

Topgear do, and Topgear did when the 355 first came out. Tiff Nedel did a good review in 95.
Remember that Classic gear is a classic car show. Top gear is a current car show that still does good supercar reviews.
