Italian Shoes

Been looking for some more shoes and I'm a fussy sod and there's nothing in the physical shoe shops that I like.

From trawling the web (where but PH can you have 30 page threads on shoes) "Italian loafers" keep cropping up and going from pictures seem to be what I want style wise - problem is I have no idea what makes of Italian shoe are good and bad - suppose it's the equivalent of an Italian buying a traditional English handmade Pukka Pie because the photo on the internet made it look tasty

So, who's good, who's not? Bespoke is a non-starter so no Berluti's!

And apologies for yet another shoe thread but if the local shoe shops weren't so ste...

Ive had several pairs over the years. Always comfortable from day one, and wear very well(years). Although I do use shoe trees and never wear the same pair twice in a row.

In theory quite a lot, but tbh I find it very hard to reconcile £150 or more with shoes - put it this way I'd want them to last and I'd sooner justify a "cheap" pair of quality shoes vs. paying over the odds for a brand name.

Shoes are for protecting your feet from heat/cold/wetness/injury or wearing out prematurely.
They come in 2 colours , black or brown Anyone who makes more of an issue of them is a big girl.

Curiously, Mrs S who is 5'10 and has striking red shoulder length hair, honestly thinks that when she walks in a room, people notice of her shoes.
