Came across some of these on Ebay recently that had a "proper" ball joint ( bit like a track rod end) rather than the normal rubber ball and cup design. Listed fot TR5 and 6's and possibly early TVR's ?
Anybody else seen these, tried them, know if they fit ?

Not seen them on ebay, but I made my own from rod end bearings years ago and they're still going strong. I suspect Steve Heath would sell you some of his if you asked nicely. They are very definitely worth having.

Yeah I've seen the ones Steve Heath does but maybe they're bit over the top for normal road use ?

No. They just make sure the ARB works correctly. That means on a road car there is less roll, better turn in and less twitchy ness without sacrificing ride quality. Most of the droplinks I sell go on road cars so I wouldn't say they are over the top.

I've got them. They're great. Easy to fit and set up. Getting the old ones off was a bugger though. A cheap little mod that you will notice working.

Less roll leading to a more direct steering feel when you turn into a bend.

Recommended!

PS I'm not Steve Heath hehe

I've just bought a set. Good to hear they are easy to fit and make a real improvement. If it makes the front end less squirrelly then they are worth it.And let's face it, they look the dog's b......s

I take it all back !! Wasn't knocking them but remember being told (years ago) Rose joints can be "too good" for road use, rubber bushes dampen out a lot of road noise. Maybe only a problem if all of front suspension rose jointed, and of course who would notice a bit more noise in an S with the top down !

ARB bushes make relatively little difference - wishbone bushes make more difference and damper bushes most of all.
