I know someone on here does long distance private hire cars (a BMW 7 series was mentioned....I fancy that). I bookmarked their webaddress....but I lost it.

If you're reading this I need to find out what it'll cost me to go:
Wolves - Heathrow Mon23rd Feb plane departs 16:25
Heathrow - Wolves Thu26th Feb plane arrives 21:25

And compare that to driving and parking (We think it'll be a close run thing).

If anybody has good suggestions for firms I'll take them as well. But it's nice to use a PHer if I can. wink

Dont forget that its not just the fact the price may be quite comparable, but do you really want to drive home after getting in that late from a flight?

Also, no messing around with bags, buses, traffic. frown

You know it makes sense. bounce

Merc would be better than a BMW, but he ho

thumbup Exactly. Take the train and I'll have to get across london with a suitcase or 2 = PITA. Drive tired after standing on my feet for the last 3 days shaking hands and smiling + pay car parking = Not ideal. Or pay a guy to drive me from my door to the airport and back.

Ummm it's a toughie. (So long as it's not too expensive!)

I would have thought you would be best places asking in one of the regional sections on PH. I know Nigel aka BMW2002 would do something, but think he is more based in the Thamesvalley/London area.

You could get a train to Euston and a taxi to Heathrow, or a taxi to the Heathrow express?

Try: http://www.where2guv.com/

Got to be so much easier than doing it yourself or the train...

We do car pick up from the London airports, and long term storage etc. If you fancy taking your own car, even service it while you're away if you want

I would normally charge between £300-350 for that but that is to a corporate client on a 3 month invoice.

Genuninely inqusitive - are you busy at the mo? The place I used to work always had Lexus/BMW 7's/S-Class' parked up waiting for the exec's. I quite fancy doing it, I like driving, seems like it would be easy enough, and at that money, I'd be happy to give up my day job!

Thats the one. I'll send an e-mail tomorrow. No idea which one of my PCs/browsers that bookmark is in!

Based on the prices from where2guv and the guestimate from MBH it might work next time I go for a longer time from Heathrow. But 3/4 days it looks quite a bit cheaper to drive&park.

Drive (40p a mile) and park (purplepark) = £104 Mileage £30 parking. Call it £150.

I dont see anybody doing it for that price frown Ah well.

Even at cost it would be £110 quid for the two journeys on fuel alone in my luxo barge, and 20 quid for a round trip to brum and back isnt enough for 2 hours work...

Thats probably why nobodys offering, now if you were talking £250 quid cash then we might be arranging some transport.
