Who has the most half arsed plan for valentines day?

I'm going to cook dinner for Mrs Monkey.

Then again, I cook dinner for Mrs Monkey every night (otherwise we would starve!)

Heh. Been there, done that, look in the thread wiki for the thread and ensuing fallout.

That got brought up when Ex Lady F and I broke up a few weeks ago. These things are never forgotten, trust me.

I have planned..... nothing, nothing at all.

I told her its rubbish and a waste of time.

My plan is to see how much she kicks off on Saturday about it then there are two options:

1. She goes mental, she obviously doesn't get me and its going nowhere fast so I've learned quickly.

2. She takes it well with maybe a little grumble (I'll let her off for that) and I go through with the luxury weekend away I've got organised for the following weekend. Because as much as I like to do nice things for her I refuse to buy in to the hype of the whole thing and can get a nice trip the following week for what I would pay out this week for a bunch of flowers.

I wonder how this will go......

It's my Gf's Birthday on the 14th too, so it's an especially important day for me to remember(apparently).

So, I've got her an amazing present - A day by herself.

I'm off to watch Wales vs England with the lads. Full day of Rugby, Singing and Drinking.

If any of you need advice, my door is always open.

I've ordered 100 wooden red roses and a £25 handmade card. I'm cooking the main course for dinner and the OH is doing starter and dessert. I fking hate Valentines day, it's such a crock of st! With the money i've just spent, I could have hired an engine hoist for my engine transplant. bks

Edited for spelling

En route to Chicago, I hear they're having a singles night saturday night in Charlotte, North Carolina, might be worth stopping by and booking in with a local hotel.

See if the English accent is appreciated wink

How the hell I'm am going to get away with being at the Watford V Chelsea FA CUP game(KO 5.30pm saturday) and then for a few after the game.

Then expected to get home and get all romantic on her arse is beyond me.

She however is still thinking It's all on.

The shed is looking like my home for next week, it's not to bad as I've got some curtains up and a little camp bed now.

Does the bed flounce into the room announcing that it's broken a nail?

Rugby in the pub. Not with her.

Was one of the rules I stated at the start of the relationship, which include;

I don't buy cards.
I don't buy flowers.
Valentines: see above.
Diamonds don't suit you.
I like holidays without you.

Lasted 18 years so far.

Just made me think of "Camp David" on Alan Partridges radio show.

"What are you having for breakfast today Camp David?"

"ooohh... mince!"

How bizarre!
