A very controversial subject IMO

I would like to know the number of Islamic EXTREMISTS in this country that have been deported. The number that have not been deported because of Human Rights laws and the number that are claiming Tax in the UK.

It seems you can have an opinion about the western world, whether it be negative or positive. However if you speak of the Middle East in a negative manner...

Extremist Nutter. Point or no point there are ways and means to getting your point across, and a one-brush-tars-all approach is not the way forward IMO.

True True but this is no different to an Islamic extremist giving his opinion on the western world.

Yeah and again an extremist would also not be allowed in.

I am a firm believer in free speech - even when I don't agree with the speaker. In fact, ESPECIALLY when I don't agree with the speaker.

Another word for 'one brush tars all' is EQUALITY. That's what we want. Fairness.

This is an outrage. Wilders is an elected MP of a Euro member country. He has opinions which some people may disagree with, but this does not justify refusing him entry to the UK.
The Home Office has claimed that his presence would risk inciting unrest. What crap. More people will hear about him as a result of the ban than they would have if he´d just entered the UK under his original schedule.
The bottom line is that he should be entitled to say whatever he wants. Equally, you or I should be entitled to agree or disagree. That is how free speech works, or at least how it used to.

I do agree - I was under the impression that we are all free to travel around the EU as we like.

If he commits a crime on this soil, then fair enough - arrest him. However I suspect we already have far worse people already living in this country, many on benefits, who haven't been extradited.

Correct.

Lord Ahmed, on the other hand, threatened to 'mobilise 10,000 Muslims' (his words), which seems slightly at odds with our democracy.

This is the Lord who faces prison for, allegedly, making text messages whilst driving leading to the death of another driver. Also the same Lord who has invited terror suspects to visit Parliament.

Geert Wilders is probably a weapons grade knob end, however I defend his right to be one.

This is why Mr. Wilders is not allowed in the UK.

It sounds like freedom of speech is now properly outlawed by our leaders

Face it, they can do pretty much what they want, and every step they take forwards, our dear leaders take one back in appeasement. Historically appeasement is not a good thing.

Still, it will be interesting to see what history makes of this odd times in 100 years or so. 'The start of the 21st Century was characterised by a movement called 'political correctness', a belief that predicting the views of others would lead to a safer world. This was wide open to exploitation and led to the First Religious War, 2012-2018.'

Funny that, I thought the same rules applied to Louis Farrakhan years ago? Oh but that's different.......

It is indeed different - America isn't in the EU.
