PH has it changed?

I have been a PH member for a number of years now and have never been a regular poster, mainly because I'm not really an opionated type. I tend to prefer browsing and perusing other peoples posts and occasionaly chipping in here and there when I get the chance.
Recently though I have noticed a distinct change in the attitudes of people on here and I wondered if anyone else is experiencing the same. This is not intended to be an inflamatory post (although I'm sure it will be treated as such) but it seems as though certain regulars seem to have claimed some kind of owndership of PH, constantly getting frustrated and annoyed with others who might not be so regular posters for either repeating a topic or speaking slightly out of turn.
I'm not out to cause trouble with this post, just disappointed that PH has gone in this direction and in the individuals who have in my opinion some what distracted from the friendly community that drew me to PH in the first place.

PH has it good compared to most other boards. The worse message board I am a member of has to be bodybuilding.com.
I have brought this up on several occassions. I was one of the first members on that board, it was such a small community we all knew eachother like close friends. Now? Horrible! Horrendous! There are SO many people its ridiculous, and its a repost nightmare!!
In fact, if you post something, then hit refresh it will be on the second page almost immediately after.
It was a great place to hang and trade stories back in the day, now its a troll romp.
I only hope PH never goes that way! But the mods here are ultra tight-arsed so PH should be safe then. But believe me, I know from first hand experience

Given its size Im not sure the PH site is a community as such anymore. The sub forums, with various drinks meets and hoons are where that aspect has gone to, individual communities based upon a website. Theres simply too many posters in the P&P and GG for any real sense of each person and their mannerisms leading to more confrontation.
Been posting for over a year and reading for a lot longer than that.

The banter is brilliant; there are some really clued up people on here who give good advice, as well as some complete tossers who provide great entertainment!
Laugh as you probably will, but I get a nice feeling of belonging in here. Its not a hostile place and every day it makes me laugh at least once!
If it is, as the older posters say, going down hill, then it must have been unbelievably brilliant in the old days, because its awesome now!
